Leah Valoroso

I'm a fitness enthusiast from England, however, it hasn't always been that way. Growing up, I played a lot of sports but didn't really watch what I ate. My family never had dinner together so I would usually just grab anything convenient (I'm talking crisps and packet noodles here) to keep me going. It got even worse when we lost my oldest brother at Christmas time.

It hit me hard. I spiralled downhill in terms of looking after myself and caring about my health. I become hugely sedentary, very lazy and continued to not watch what I was eating. To be honest, I never became massively overweight, but I know I had allowed myself to become the unhealthiest I had ever been.

One day I looked in the mirror and decided that enough was enough. I wanted to be healthy, fit and happy when I looked in the mirror. I started off doing squat challenges and at-home workout DVDs. As expected, they didn't help much. It wasn't until I followed a regular progressive routine that my life truly changed.

i believe that fitness should be accessible to everybody and so for that reason, i have multiple coaching tiers to cater for all budgets.

each tier differs slightly in terms of how much formal support and personalisation you will receive so be sure to have a read through the information below.

From the first weighted workout, I was addicted. I decided, I wanted to change. I wanted to be healthy, I wanted to look after myself from the inside out, and I wanted to be strong both physically and mentally. I didn't want to sit and think about all the things I COULD HAVE done, but I wanted to think of all the things I COULD do.

I truly believe that fitness and lifting changes lives. It acts as a form of therapy and it made me realise that you can shape your life, your body and your mind in any way you want.

I continued my fitness journey despite regular bumps in the road, including being diagnosed with a chronic lifelong condition, suffering from cPTSD and of course, the pandemic that threw us all out of routine. I've also since had two beautiful young children through C-Sections and managed to beat the C-Section "pooch"!

I now want to be a role model for people getting into fitness. I want to help change their lives. I want to make them healthy, happy and strong. My goal now within the fitness industry is specialising in transformations. I focus on the physical and mental aspect of a transformation, often placing more importance in the way my clients think and feel about themselves than the way they look. With a clientele base of hundreds of clients based all over the world, I pride myself on changing the lives of a group of individuals who struggle in a modern world with feelings of low self-worth and body confidence. I aim to change that completely for each and every client. You could be next!

What are you waiting for?

  • What does online personal training involve?
    It involves truly bespoke training and nutrition programming, frequent support via in-app messenger and regular in-depth feedback. You'll also work directly with me, and I pride myself on producing amazing results and supporting my clients throughout their transformation.
  • I'm a beginner, will this be suitable for me?
    Yes, all my workouts are designed with differences in experience levels. I work with beginners to advanced gym-goers, and therefore always try to include options to suit your goals, abilities and skill sets. Home workouts are also available for those of you who are not comfortable to join a gym. In short, If you're a beginner, I'm going to ensure you achieve fantastic results in the quickest possible time whilst eliminate the guesswork. If you're an advanced lifter/athlete, then I'm going to ensure I take your training and knowledge to the next level.
  • Will I need a gym membership?
    No, you don't need a gym membership - lots of my clients train at home using my recommended equipment. For ideal results, you will need a dumbbell/kettlebell and a variety of resistance bands. A recommended equipment list will be available to you in-app.
  • Do I need to live in the United Kingdom?
    Nope, I work with people from all over the world. One of the best things about online personal training is that you can work with me from anywhere in the world.
  • If I sign up today, when will I receive my plan?
    The beauty of my app is that every workout and recipe I upload is stored in my large exercise and meal libraries. This means that for those of you on the cub package following a pre-programmed plan, I can send the plan out to you in the same day we discuss your goals and targets. For those of you on the lioness package, I aim to have your plans sent within 48 hours of our initial discussion in-app. Likewise for those of you on the King of the Pride package, I aim to have your plans sent within 48 hours of our initial discussion either in-app or following our onboarding call.
  • What if I travel frequently?
    Many of my clients have jobs that require them to travel regularly; this makes online personal training an ideal fit for them. My pre-built home phases are really built so that you can exercise anywhere utilising bodyweight, HIIT workouts and weighted workouts with limited equipment - as long as you can fit a resistance band in your bag, you'll be good to go. You also have the flexibility to rearrange scheduled workouts using the drag and drop feature in your calendar. For those of you who sign up on either the lioness package or the King of the Pride package, your programmes are completely customised to your lifestyle and so I will build workouts based on your exact time available, as well as exercise equipment available to you.
  • Is the plan truly customised?
    Everyone is different; therefore, everyone will receive a fully customised training and nutrition plan. However, the level of customisation differs dependent on the package you choose. For all three packages, macros will be assigned based on your goals and body composition. You can then track with complete flexibility, either using your own favourite foods or using inspiration from the meal library. This gives you the ultimate control over your diet. For those on the cub package, your workout plans will be chosen from my large workout library based on the information you tell me - and again, you can change your goals, equipment types, length and training style as often as you’d like to suit you - just let me know in the in-app chat and I can set you a new training phase. For those on the lioness or King of the Pride package, your workout plans will be completely customised based on your time available, injury history, exercise preferences, lifestyle, career, and pretty much any factor that may impact your ability to exercise. I highly recommend either of these packages if you struggle with pre-built workouts.
  • How will you track my workouts?
    You'll be logging your sessions either via mobile or desktop, every rep, set, weight used, distance covered, and time taken will be tracked and synced instantaneously using my app. I’ll be able to see these logs and am notified with each workout completed. I can then go through this data and progress made. This is particularly important for those on the higher coaching tiers as I will aim to make changes regularly based on your progressions.
  • How will I know if I am doing the exercise correctly?
    Each exercise is accompanied by a full video tutorial with teaching points - as well as written key coaching points. Furthermore, any exercise you're still unsure of, you can record yourself performing that exercise and forward it to me or tag me on social media. I will then reply to this using a green screen and coaching cues - pausing your form during points in the exercise to highlight where you may be able to improve. I will ask permission to share prior to sharing on social media but the response will be sent back to you too. This in depth critique will ensure you master each exercise. For those of you on the King of the Pride package, during our fortnightly video calls, we can arrange a virtual PT session so I can adjust form in real time. This is highly important if you have injuries or tightness affecting your ability to follow online cues.
  • Will I need to train every day?
    No, I've designed the pre-built plans to fit around your lifestyle. Most of my clients train 3 to 4 times per week, but I have clients who train once per week and have others who train over seven times per week. The beauty of the calendar in app is that you can really adjust your plans around what is optimal whilst ensuring it's realistic at the time - and this is generally ever-changing for most people. You can drag and drop your scheduled workouts to as far in the future as you'd like. For those on higher coaching tiers, your plans will be programmed with your exact time availability in mind and scheduled for you in the calendar for agreed days.
  • How do I know which workouts to follow?
    When I assign your plan, I will either schedule your workouts into your calendar. This will provide you with scheduled workouts on your to-do lists, as well as a workout list to choose from. You have the flexibility to follow my schedule provided, move the workouts around to suit your own schedule or even go through the workout list and repeat workouts or schedule them yourself. You really have the freedom over the workout that may suit you on any given day. Each month a “challenge” will also be uploaded into our Lions Den group chat. This will include a daily accountability activity - with a small amount of exercise each day as well as additional activities to add into the community board. The3se activities will also be added onto your "to-do" list.
  • Will I receive a nutrition plan?
    Absolutely! You'll know exactly how many calories, protein, carbohydrates and fats you should be consuming each day, I usually only assign calories and protein as I believe carbs and fats are interchangeable. You can then use the in-app food log to track your foods with complete flexibility. In the community page, I will cover nutrition questions regularly so that you can fully optimise your nutrition with your training - answering questions such as pre and post-workout nutrition to optimise your performance and recovery. I'll also cover things such as how best to plan/schedule your meals to optimise protein synthesis (muscle gain). All this whilst providing delicious recipes which are updated daily to help keep things exciting - you will have a massive database of recipes to choose from so you are never stuck with no inspiration again. The reason I don't prescribe set meal plans is because I believe flexible dieting has many more benefits and is far more sustainable. Here are some of the benefits of flexible dieting: No Food Restrictions: With flexible dieting, there are no restrictions on what you can or cannot eat. Instead, you focus on meeting your daily macronutrient and calorie goals, which allows you to fit in your favourite foods into your diet in moderation. Greater Adherence: Flexible dieting allows for more dietary flexibility, which makes it easier to adhere to a diet plan long-term. This can help reduce cravings and the feeling of being deprived, leading to a higher likelihood of success in achieving your health and fitness goals. Improved Nutrient Diversity: By tracking your macronutrient intake, you become more aware of the nutritional value of the foods you're eating. This can help ensure you're getting a diverse range of nutrients and vitamins to support your overall health and wellbeing. Customizable: Flexible dieting can be customized to fit individual needs and preferences. It allows for a more personalized approach to nutrition and is suitable for different lifestyles, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free. Sustainable Lifestyle: With flexible dieting, there's no need to give up your social life or favourite foods. It's a sustainable lifestyle that can be maintained long-term, allowing you to enjoy your favourite foods while achieving your health and fitness goals.
  • How will you track what I eat?
    I'll track your food diary directly via our in-built food tracking diary, or if you prefer, you can use MyFitnessPal and sync to the app, so that I can see your consumed calories. Using the in-app food log, I can ensure you're within your calorie targets, nailing your macros ratios and consuming an overall nutrient-rich diet.
  • Do you provide recipes?
    Absolutely! I'll provide delicious, high protein, nutrient-rich recipes to help facilitate your goals and ensure your diet is sustainable. These will be updated regularly, as well as many of your favourite meal choices from takeaways, restaurants and local supermarkets. If you have any specific recipe requests, please do let me know and I’ll add them in asap.
  • Do you work with vegetarians, vegans, plant-based eaters or those with intolerances?
    Absolutely! It'll be my job to ensure you're doing it the right way, the safe way, a way in which is conducive to your goals and avoids the infamous nutrient deficiencies that can accrue from eliminating meat, fish and dairy. The in-app food logger means you can track with flexibility knowing full well that the foods you choose are safe and conducive with your eating preferences.
  • How will you measure my progress?
    I'll measure your progress via many metrics, such as progress in strength (progressive overload), measurements, scale weight, improvements in endurance, body measurements and of course, assessing body composition changes via progress photos. We can assess and adjust based on all of these metrics as often as you’d like - with no pressure on a specific day to check in or stress if you are too busy to contact. These are all tracked in-app. For those on the higher coaching tiers, we will discuss 30 more aspects of your life that may impact your progress including: your current nutrition your dieting history your relationship with food your metabolism your stress levels your sleep quality your gut health and digestion your hunger levels your energy levels your recovery your mental health your lifestyle your time available your hormone balance (or imbalance) your workout history your previous injuries how far pre/post natal you are your menstrual cycle your gym/equipment accessibility your form during exercises your habits that may need breaking
  • How often will I check in?
    I am available via the in-app chat 24/7 so you can contact any time and I can provide feedback extremely quickly.. However, check-in frequencies and types are dependent to the coaching tier you sign up to. For those on the "cub" package - check-ins will be very informal and changes will only be made through macros, cardio and/or reassigning you to another pre-built phase. For those on the "lioness" package - check-ins will be weekly in-app, based on as much information as you’d like with regards to anything you might be struggling with, your likes, dislikes, required changes, energy levels, mood, sleep, weight etc. I can then manually adjust anything you feel you need additional help with so that you really get the most out of our time together. For those on the "King of the Pride" package - check-ins will also be weekly in-app, based on as much information as you’d like with regards to anything you might be struggling with, your likes, dislikes, required changes, energy levels, mood, sleep, weight etc. You will also be booked onto fortnightly video calls where we discuss 30 key details of your life that may be impacting progress, we can also go through a virtual coaching session to check form during these calls. I will also organise regular live sessions for the entire group where you can ask more questions in real time. All this ensures we're consistently moving towards your goal at a rate you're happy with, no matter which package you choose.
  • Will anyone else see my progress pictures?
    No, only you and I will have access to your progress photos. The progress photos and transformations you see on my website, and on my social media platforms are all at the consent of clients who want to share their fantastic progression. I will ask for permission before sharing any pictures on any social media platforms.
  • How quickly will I see results?
    Most clients see progress after just a few weeks of following their plan - but my general rule of thumb is it will take *you* 4 weeks to notice a change, it will take *friends and family* 8 weeks to notice a change and it will take the rest of the world 12 weeks to notice a change. How long it'll take to achieve your desired body composition goal, really depends on what your goal is. I'll do everything in my power to help you achieve your physique goal in the quickest possible time. In fact, I pride myself on helping people transform their body in the quickest possible time, whilst also ensuring sustainability.
  • How will I communicate with you?
    We'll communicate as regularly as you'd like to via the live chat feature in the app. I will post daily in the community group on the app too and encourage you all to do so too so we really build a community between us. I will also regularly upload educational videos onto the app based on common questions I’ve received that week, and organise regular lives so you can ask questions in real time or follow along workouts/cooking in real time. For those on higher coaching tiers, we will organise weekly check-ins via the app (Lioness and King) , and fortnightly video calls (King of the Pride).
  • How quickly will you get back to me?
    If you follow me on social media, you'll know that my working hours are strange as I have 2 little ones to look after so I am more able to communicate regularly and quickly in the evening hours - in these hours, I tend to get back to people within an hour, outside of these hours, this can be longer. But even on the weekend, I'll certainly get back to you within 24 hours. In short, I'll get back to you as quickly as possible.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    The monthly subscription can be cancelled at any time, and the same applies to the three-month or annual package following the initial three-month/annual payment. You can cancel directly via the app or I can cancel it, at your request. Once you cancel, you will not be charged again and will be able to continue the service until the end of your current payment period. Unfortunately, I cannot provide refunds for any unused time. However, you can pause your training in these instances for as long as needed and carry on when you are ready.
